📚 What was Your Favorite Travel Experience or Story?
My favorite travel experience was taking a three-week trip to Italy after my high school graduation with my friends. I got to stay in Rome, Venice, and Florence. It was my first time in another country and I fell in love with it. The architecture was gorgeous, the food was some of the best I ever had, and I would love to go back one day and spend months there.
My favorite city we went to was Rome because there was so much to do and see there, it felt like we were constantly learning something new. We also did a food and wine tour in Rome where we went to a few hidden gems and learned about different cheeses and wines, which was amazing.
🗺️ What’s Your #1 Expert Travel Tip?
Plan your trip ahead of time! When I travel, I typically spend weeks in advance researching the spot so I can enjoy the vacation once I get there. I make lists of the places I want to see, things I want to do, and restaurants that I want to eat at. Planning ahead also allows me to create a budget, so I know how much to save.
Of course, you will probably find things that you didn’t know about once you are there, and sometimes those end up being the most fun parts of a trip. But, at least once your trip starts you can just relax, and you will also make sure you get to do everything you hoped to.
