Kimpton Claret Hotel to Open in Downtown Denver This Spring
There is a new addition to the Denver hotel scene coming soon.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio, recently announced that it will open the Kimpton Claret Hotel in Denver this spring.
The 19-story, new-build hotel will be the second Kimpton location in the city, complementing the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in downtown’s Central Business District.
Formerly, the brand also oversaw the Kimpton Hotel Born. It was rebranded as Limelight Hotel last February after operations shifted to Aspen Hospitality, the hospitality division of Aspen Skiing Company.
Continuum Partners LLC previously held an interest in Hotel Born. In announcing the acquisition, its founder and CEO Mark Falcone said in a written statement, “Hotel Born was integral in bringing the Denver Union Station neighborhood to life.”

Similarly, the Kimpton Claret Hotel will be a cornerstone in the up-and-coming Belleview Station district. Front Range Land & Development Company has a grand vision for this southeast corner of Denver.
Its nine blocks currently feature dining options, retail and service businesses, residential apartments, and office buildings. Further development is to be expected.
“Belleview Station is a destination on the rise and we are excited to open our doors there [this] year,” said Kimpton Claret Hotel general manager Keith Siebenaler. His press release statement continues, “With close proximity to downtown Denver and sweeping views of the Front Range, our hotel is poised to offer the best of Colorado.”
Arguably, the Kimpton Claret Hotel is also poised to host two particular types of guests: those visiting Denver on business and luxury travelers.
The Kimpton Claret Hotel May Appeal to Business Travelers Given Its Location Near DTC

Kimpton Claret Hotel aims to appeal to business travelers for a few reasons:
- It’s located on the northwest border of the Denver Tech Center (DTC). This major business hub is home to several large corporations including Oracle, Zoom Video Communications, and Arrow Electronics.
- Belleview Station itself features three large office buildings, whose tenants include Western Union and Newmont Corporation.
- The hotel is a five-minute walk from a light rail station, which is one of the best ways to get around the city, and connects to Denver International Airport.
- It’s also located along the South Denver Corridor, offering easy access to major highways including I-225 and I-25, the latter of which spans the entire Front Range.
Additionally, Kimpton Claret Hotel will feature 10,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, including an indoor/outdoor terrace and ballroom.
Elevated Amenities Aimed at Luxury Travelers

Luxury travelers may also be drawn to the Kimpton Claret Hotel, which will offer a “fresh yet familiar hospitality experience.” Those who have stayed with the brand will recognize perks like its evening social hour, plush robes, same-day dry cleaning, and in-room yoga mats.
One hundred ninety swanky guest rooms will occupy the hotel, including four spacious suites with deep soaking tubs. There will also be a 24/7 fitness center with two Peloton bikes, plus two on-site restaurants.
Saverina will serve Italian-inspired fare on the ground floor. Halo Rooftop Bar will occupy the 19th story and offer panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains.
Siebenaler affirmed, “The Kimpton Claret team is dedicated to providing our guests unparalleled service, amenities, and experiences, and we look forward to becoming a cultural hub for locals, frequent visitors, and newcomers.”
