My Review

Upon arrival at the Blue Horizon Hotel, it was apparent that we were in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Robson Street was alive and bustling after dark, illuminated with festive decor for the holidays and crawling with people. We were thrilled by how walkable the location was, making it one of the best areas to stay in Vancouver.

Our corner room was on the 11th floor. I was blown away by the city views, especially from the spacious balcony. I could see clearly across the bay to North Vancouver, and the sky-rise apartments were beautiful at night.

The room was very comfortable. Nothing was particularly special about the amenities, but the bathroom was clean, and the bed was comfy. My main critique is that the pillows were super puffy, the kind that leaves you sore if you have neck problems like me. Bring your own pillow if this bothers you!

I also didn’t love how the bathroom had a sliding door with a big gap under it, which basically made privacy impossible. Not a big deal if you’re staying with loved ones, but something to note!

The small gym and indoor pool were great additions to the stay. There’s also a cozy restaurant downstairs, but I sadly didn’t get to try it. The hotel checked every box on the usual necessities. Considering the reasonable price point and unbeatable location, I’d stay at the Blue Horizon again.

About the Location

The Blue Horizon Hotel is located on Robson Street, the most popular shopping and dining street in Downtown Vancouver. Everything from vintage shops to global brands are available here. You can also find every type of cuisine at the myriad restaurants.

Although the area was crowded, I felt very safe here. Robson Street was clean, and everyone seemed to be minding their business. I enjoyed the atmosphere of this hotel location.

Things to Note

⚠️ You can check out one hour late for free, but you must ask the desk directly. Otherwise, they try to charge you through their online portal.

⚠️ There is a nightclub next to the hotel, which was quite loud during our weekend stay. You may opt to stay during the week because of this.
