Marriott Bonvoy Just Announced this Epic Elite Promo Offer, But You Must Register First.
If you are a member of Marriott’s Bonvoy program, listen up closely.
The awards program for the world’s largest hotel brand, just announced an offer that could allow you to get 1,000 bonus points per night and double Elite Night Credits on most stays from February 13th to April 29th.
However, you must register for the offer from within your Marriott Bonvoy account, which you can do here through April 15, 2024.
If you have travel planned before the end of April, this offer is an opportunity to fast-track your way to Bonvoy Elite status.
Last year I earned my way to Titanium Elite Status, and I have really enjoyed the benefits of that status so far. In my opinion, though, the best benefits – like upgrades, free breakfast, and lounge access – kick in at the Platinum level, which only requires 50 Elite Nights.
With this promotion, you could stay as few as 25 nights and earn Platinum status through the end of 2025. And, actually, you could do it with even fewer nights if you get one of the Marriott Bonvoy credit cards I mention below.
But, first, let’s talk about this offer and what makes it so special:
Here are the Details of Marriott Bonvoy’s New Fast-Track Elite Status Promotion

The key details of this Marriott Bonvoy Elite Bonus Offer were announced in a press release this past Tuesday:
- Get 1,000 bonus points and double Elite Night credits for eligible stays from February 13, 2024 until April 29, 2024.
- Members must register for the promotion online here or by logging into their accounts and finding the button for the offer.
- You must book your stay directly with Marriott in order for it to count.
- The promo does not apply to reward redemption stays, including Cash + Points Awards.
- Only one room per property per night counts towards the promo.
- Hotels must participate in the Bonvoy program in order for the promotion to apply.
- Certain brands are excluded from the offer, including stays at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott Executive Apartments, and various Marriott branded vacation clubs.
Why This is My Favorite Marriott Bonvoy Offer of the Year

If you have thought about earning hotel elite status, this is probably the best offer of the year in my opinion. I took advantage of a similar promotion last year to fast track my way up the Marriott Bonvoy Elite ladder, and I quickly became a Bonvoy convert.
Here’s why I like the Marriott brand:
Marriott is not only the largest hotel brand in the world, it’s quickly expanding its portfolio of hotels at a much higher rate than its largest competitors. Wherever you are going, there is probably a hotel that participates in Bonvoy.
Bonvoy hotels also increasingly cover the full range of price points: from ultra luxury brands like Ritz Carlton all the way down to more affordable offerings like Fairfield Inn & Suites.
They even have a brand for the Gen Z crowd, Moxy Hotels, which offers fun experiences and social spaces reminiscent of a more mature hostel.
Point is: no matter where you are going, or your travel style, there is probably a Bonvoy hotel that might work for you.
And what’s cool about the Bonvoy program is that the benefits really are pretty solid, particularly once you reach the Platinum Level.
This Promo Makes It Easier to Reach Platinum Elite, Where the Best Benefits Start

Marriott Bonvoy has five levels of status: Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador.
Having earned my way up to Titanium last year, I can confidently say that the most important level you should be aiming for is Platinum Elite.
Platinum Elite is where my favorite benefits kick in: 4 PM late checkout, room upgrade, free breakfast, and lounge access at certain properties.
It normally requires 50 nights to reach Platinum Elite, but with this promotion you can get there much faster. And, if you earn Platinum status before the end of April, you get to keep it all the way until the end of 2025
And, actually, there’s a way to earn Platinum status even faster, if you have one of these Bonvoy-branded credit cards:
Get Even More Elite Night Credits – and Faster Platinum Status – With These Marriott Branded Credit Cards

Longtime readers know I am a big fan of getting free travel with points.
Usually I focus my credit card point strategy on airfare redemptions, but earning elite status is one occasion where hotel credit cards can make sense in my mind.
The following Marriott-branded credit cards currently include welcome bonus offers that grant you additional Elite Nights:
- Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card – Complimentary Platinum Status, 25 Elite Night Credits (terms apply)
- Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card – Complimentary Gold Status, plus 15 annual Elite Night Credits (terms apply)
- Marriott Bonvoy Bold – 15 Elite Night Credits through 7/10/2024
- Marriott Bonvoy Boundless – 15 Elite Night Credits per calendar year
Technically you could earn Platinum status without staying a single night using the Bonvoy Brilliant card. But, if you aren’t up for its hefty annual fee, any of the other listed cards still put you within 35 nights of Platinum status. And, with this promotion, that equates to staying just 18 nights before the end of April to get there.
My Only Quibble with this Elite Night Promotion
Now, nothing is perfect. Personally, I’m a bit bummed that the promo does not apply to Cash + Points Awards.
That’s because I have an epic upcoming stay booked at the historic Marriott Mena House in Cairo.
I used Cash + Points Awards to cash in 139,000 and $584 for a 5 night stay in an epic room with a view of the Great Pyramids of Giza right from the balcony. Though I won’t earn double Elite Nights on that stay, I can’t complain I guess, I’m still getting a great deal for a room that regularly runs at $750 USD per night!
That quibble aside, overall this is an excellent opportunity to earn fast track status up the Marriott Bonvoy Elite program.
Remember, you need to register here or else you can’t claim the promotion benefits.
