About the Author
Vanessa Ramos is a travel writer and certified Puerto Rico tour guide from Puerto Rico. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras.
She began her career working in the film industry and then pivoted to hospitality when she started working at a hotel in Condado.
There, she discovered her passion for the travel industry and started to look for career options that allowed her location independence. She was quickly drawn to blogging and self-taught freelance writing skills.
In August 2021, she began her tenure at Travel Lemming by writing about her homeland, Puerto Rico. In November 2025, she became a certified tour guide through the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
As a full-time travel writer and tour guide, she is passionate about discovering new sites on her beloved archipelago.
