Eslite Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan (My Review)

Published: May 19, 2026
My Review
Travelers searching for a taste of the luxury life in Taipei will adore the Eslite Hotel. This 5-star stay exudes this laidback extravagance that makes you feel pampered without being completely overwhelmed by how fancy it is.
The staff was very warm and accommodating, even happily letting us check in an hour early. By the time we returned, our bags were already waiting in our room. They also let us check out 30 minutes past the scheduled noon check-out.
Once I got inside the Deluxe King Room, that’s when the awe really set in. The space is completely curated for comfort with all the important stuff, like lots of space, an extremely comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom with exceptional products. But there were also little touches that made the room stand out from many of the places I stayed in Taipei.
Thoughtful decorations with biscuits and fruit for a sweet Lunar New Year since it was around the corner, a Nespresso machine and lots of other drinks in the mini fridge, a massive work station with tiny things you may need, such as scissors and staples. They even brought us a blueberry cheesecake in the evening because my boyfriend and I recently had birthdays.
To top it all off, the private balcony has a stunning view over the neighborhood’s greenery and Taipei 101, one of the city’s most famous attractions. It was all these factors compounded together that made me savor every moment I spent at the Eslite Hotel.
The next morning, I was equally delighted with the breakfast feast available. It cost about 25 USD, but it was totally worth it to munch on fresh lox with capers and red onion, build my own parfait, and sip on a couple of creamy lattes in the hotel’s pristine window-filled restaurant.
All this lavishness does come at a price of around $300 per night, depending on the room you book. For the stellar quality, I found that cost to actually be pretty reasonable, though (I can only imagine what a place like this in New York City would cost!).
Since it’s definitely more of a ‘treat yourself’ stay, I’d recommend the Eslite Hotel for anyone looking to splurge on a special occasion, like a birthday or honeymoon. With the high standard of service, they’ll be sure to make you feel special during these events.
It can also be a great fit for families with children since the surrounding neighborhood is much quieter than central Taipei and feels very safe. Or business travelers who want the convenience of having everything they need, from good coffee to a gym on-site and soundproof rooms with big desks.
Given the chance, I’d 100% stay at the Eslite Hotel again the next time I visit Taipei. It was a different level of comfort that made the hotel stay in itself a memorable experience.

About the Location
The Eslite Hotel is located in Taipei’s Xinyi neighborhood, which can be ideal for couples, families, or anyone craving a quieter atmosphere. There’s a peaceful little park right next to the hotel, and the district feels calmer while still providing cityscape views. It also felt very safe at all times of the day, and I was totally comfortable walking back at night.
Something to keep in mind, though, is that it’s a bit of a hike from the city center. It will take around 30 minutes on public transportation to reach key sites and other Taipei neighborhoods like Ximending Walking District, Lungshan Temple, and Datong.
Luckily, the buses and trains in Taipei are very easy to master and affordable, so this works out fine unless you’re on a very brief trip and want to limit local travel time.

My Highlights of This Hotel
⭐ The luxurious ambiance – Everything about the Eslite felt a cut above the rest, and it was even honored by Forbes Travel Guide as a recommended verified luxury hotel
⭐ The stunning bathroom – From the jacuzzi-sized bathtub to the premium bath products and Dyson hair dryer, this was one of my favorite parts of the room
⭐ The breakfast spread – Although the entry cost 760 TWD or around 25 USD, this breakfast buffet was completely worth it. There was a coffee machine with great lattes and an assortment of treats like smoked salmon, fresh eggs, fruit, baked goods, hot local specialities, and more.
Things to Note
⚠️ The hotel shares its lobby space with an on-site coffee shop and restaurant. To reach reception, you walk through the front door, past the restaurant, and head down the first hallway on your left.
⚠️ You can see an exquisite perspective of the famous Taipei 101 from the balcony of many of the rooms at the Eslite Hotel. I could see it perfectly in all its glory from room 8003.
