11 Stadiums in Colorado
Empower Field at Mile High
Colorado’s largest stadium hosts Denver Broncos football games and big-ticket concerts in the Mile High City.
Visiting Empower Field is one of the best things to do in Denver! Cheer on the Denver Broncos professional football team or get a behind-the-scenes stadium tour. World-famous performers like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have also held concerts at this venue.
Parking is very limited at Empower Field. Consider parking off-site or getting around Denver via the light rail or scooter rentals. Empower Field allows guests to bring a clear bag or a small purse into the stadium.

The home of the Colorado Rockies offers affordable baseball game tickets and skyline views in Denver’s Ballpark neighborhood.
Visiting Denver on a budget? Rockies games at Coors Field are affordable, great for families, and make for one of the best date ideas! Restaurants and bars surround the venue, though the concessions are top-notch. Be sure to try the green chile cheese fries, which pair perfectly with an ice-cold Coors!
Cheer on the champion Denver Nuggets basketball team, or visit this Denver stadium for other professional sports and events.
Ball Arena, formerly the Pepsi Center, is where the Denver Nuggets basketball team plays and one of the larger stadiums in Denver. It’s also home to the Colorado Avalanche hockey team and the Colorado Mammoth major league lacrosse team. It’s a popular Denver venue for concerts, as well as events like the circus and Disney on Ice.
Dick’s Sporting Goods Park
This Commerce City stadium hosts the Colorado Rapids, Denver’s pro soccer team, as well as famed performers like Phish.
Dick’s Sporting Goods Park holds up to 18,000 fans during Colorado Rapids soccer games. It seats as many as 27,00 people during concerts, like the annual Phish tour. The stadium has concessions and parking is included for all Rapids games and soccer tournaments. There may be a charge for other events.
National Western Complex
See rodeos during the National Western Stock Show, and attend other engaging events at this Denver arena.
The National Western Complex is best known for hosting the National Western Stock Show every January. The stadium is bustling with rodeos, mutton bustin’, and other events during the show. Other rodeos, sporting events, and tradeshows are held in the stadium throughout the year.
Watch a CU Buffs college football game or attend a festival, concert, or other fun event at this Boulder stadium.
Checking out the University of Colorado Boulder campus is one of the best things to do in Boulder. Add on a CU Buffs football game at Folsom Field for even more fun!
This Boulder stadium is also an event space which hosts festivals, concerts, and more. My favorite Folsom Field memory is running into the stadium, which is the endpoint for Bolder Boulder — one of the largest 10K races in the world!
Dutch Clark Stadium
The largest high school stadium in Colorado which hosts the oldest rivalry west of the Mississippi.
Dutch Clark Stadium has more than 15,000 seats, and all of them are sold out for the Bell Game each fall. The football game between Pueblo Central and Pueblo Centennial has been going on since 1892. Dutch Clark Stadium is an underground bowl rather than raised, making it a unique Colorado stadium.
The Air Force Academy stadium draws college football fans to the Colorado Springs foothills.
There’s lots to see at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The chapel and the visitor center are both interesting stops, as is Falcon Stadium. It hosts Air Force college football games, plus events like the high school state marching band finals.
CU Events Center
Watch college basketball or enjoy a concert at this CU Boulder complex.
The University of Colorado Boulder basketball teams play at the CU Events Center. The venue has also hosted concerts and performers like Bob Dylan, U2, and Stevie Wonder. President Barack Obama also spoke there during a campaign event. Parking for the CU Events Center is free for basketball games, although there may be a fee for concerts.
A venue for Colorado State University Fort Collins football games and other events.
Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins is the home of the CSU Rams college football team. I highly recommend purchasing a special ticket to access the New Belgium Porch in the north end zone. It has two premium bars and a drink rail, and is one of the best vantage points to watch the games!
Pikes Peak International Raceway
Amateur racers can zoom around the same track the pros used to use at this stadium between Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Pikes Peak International Raceway used to host racing legends like Michael Waltrip and Tony Stewart. The track no longer has NASCAR events, but it has many amateur races — you can even get out there and drive yourself! The track hosts drag racing, car shows, driving clinics, and much more. Get out of the stands and into a car!
